“A different language is a different vision of life.”
Federico Fellini
Welcome to Mind Lacuna.
Mind Lacuna is a website for anyone who wants to learn a foreign language, brush up on what they already know, or speak with more confidence in real, professional and everyday situations.
If you’d like to learn English or Russian, refresh what you already have, or prepare specifically for certain scenarios, nice to meet you.
I offer English and Russian lessons for adults and children, as well as English for companies. Lessons take place online worldwide and in person, in Trier, Luxembourg and the surrounding area.
Business English
Business English courses for professionals and companies that need not “English in general” but the language for their work. Depending on your tasks and level, we can work on professional vocabulary and grammar, on speaking and writing, or on how to run meetings, give presentations and hold your own in an international working environment.
English Lessons and Courses
English lessons and courses for adults and children. These can be one-to-one lessons or structured programmes, General English and ESP. The point is always the same: to build a solid foundation and make the language stop being a barrier. Everything else depends on your goal: work, study, travel, job interviews, business meetings, presentations or simply everyday communication.
Russian Lessons and Courses
To many, Russian is unknown territory, full of surprises. You can start from scratch, or pick up where you once left off, either way, the lesson is built around you. Depending on your level and goals, the focus shifts to grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, pronunciation, everyday communication or Russian culture, and more often than not, all of it at once, mixed together and one after another.
Alongside Russian textbooks, I add my own materials, tailored to the specific person and the specific situation, so that lessons stay practical, varied and alive, and never turn into a boring page-turning exercise.
Blog on Languages and Language Learning
The website also has a blog on language learning, linguistics, translation, methods, textbooks and materials. Here I share observations and reviews, for anyone who cares about languages.
If you’d like to learn English or Russian, on the other pages of the site you’ll find details about courses and offerings.
Thank you for stopping by Mind Lacuna.
